Hiram House was founded in 1896 and has been in continuous operation for over a century. It is “Ohio’s oldest camp” and one of the earliest camps established in the United States. Open year-round, we are a traditional camp, offering quality Summer Camps, School Camps, Group Retreats and Teambuilding Adventures for boys & girls, schools, youth and adult groups.

The camp is located on Hiram Trail in Chagrin Falls in Northeast Ohio, amid 172 wooded acres in the scenic Chagrin Valley and is beautiful in all seasons. The camp is easily accessible to all major routes, hospitals or other needed services.

We offer exciting, interactive activities, like archery, canoeing, climbing wall, fishing, hiking, horseback riding, high/low ropes course, swimming . We feature a western style riding ranch & farmstead, log cabins, teepees, frontier fort, ponds, streams, meadows, woods & wildlife.

Summer Camps are offered for one or two week sessions during the months of June, July & early to mid-August. Weekly rates range from $275 to 315 for Jr. Day & Day Camp, $625 for Overnight Camp and $310 for Horseback Riding Camp.

Our dedicated professional staff consists of over 75 trained counselors, specialists and administrators. Staff is recruited from some 50 colleges & universities throughout the nation, focusing on students with an interest in child development and outdoor education and recreation. We maintain a ratio of campers to staff of 6:1 for Jr. Day Camp, 8:1 for Day & Overnight Camp.

Summer Camp Open Registration begins online each November through May and is now in progress for the 2013 season for all Day, Junior Day, Overnight or Horseback Riding Camps. Pre-registration begins in September to October for campers who attended the previous summer. School Camps, Group Retreats & Teambuilding are available during the Fall, Winter & Spring.

We are accredited by the American Camp Association and are a United Way Partner Service Agency. We also offer “Camperships” aid for children in need to attend Summer Camp.
