Language and Culture in Belo Horizonte is a four-week summer program designed to provide Portuguese language instruction while immersing students in Brazilian society. The main goal of the program is to enable beginning and intermediate students to communicate with fluency and accuracy by strengthening oral and written skills.

The program includes a number of activities and field trips that introduce students to Brazilian culture. On weekends, students will visit historic towns such as Ouro Preto, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that is famous for its Baroque art and architecture. The program is organized in cooperation with Centro Universitário UNA. Students will have access to university services, including libraries, computer labs, cafeterias and bookstores.
