The Neosho County Women is all prepped up to host a Summer Basketball Camp. Here campers will be trained on all aspects of the game — from learning the fundamentals to improving their basketball skills.
To be held from May 26-May 30 at the Chanute Recreation Center gymnasium, from 9 a.m.-11 a.m., this camp is only meant for high school aged boys and girls.
Presided by NCCC women’s coach JJ Davis, the camp was launched locally last year. Besides learning basketball, the camp will offer a lot of opportunity for fun, and friends.
The camp will include individual evaluations, individualized instruction for players of all levels and experience, competitive games and skills contests, and a chance to meet and work with Davis, his coaching staff, and NCCC basketball counselors. Players will be grouped by age and ability.
This camp costs $20 for early registrants, and $25 for those who register late.
Campers should come prepared with shorts, a T-shirt, and basketball sneakers, as well as extra money for concessions, snacks, and drinks. For more information on these camps, e-mail Davis at jdavis@neosho.edu
