This summer, Camp Navigator teams encourages parents to help your children think and go beyond the routine Summer Camps and try out something that isn’t just new, highly creative and challenging, but greatly gratifying and rewarding as well.

The Illinois School for the Deaf announces Free Creative Arts camp 2014 for hearing-impaired children. The sole aim of this one-of-its-kind-of a camp, meant for children of all ages, is to give deaf children and those hard of hearing opportunities to improve their communication and socialization skills as well as make them creatively competent. In this camp, children will be taught and encouraged to participate in recreational and creative activities as well as express themselves through dance, art, technology and sign language. Free camp ISD will be held between June 18-20, 2014.

Camp activities:

  • Learning how to dance
  • Mixed media art project
  • How to develop designs in computer
  • Participate in American Sign Language (ASL) expression activities
  • Evening recreational activities
  • Exhibition program on June 20 followed by lunch at Huff Dietary

Free transportation will be provided to campers coming to the camp on June 15 on previous request. Parents must pick up their children at the end of camp, on Friday June 20th.
