For all young and budding artistes out there, Camp Navigator recommends a summer full of artsy fun at Crooked Tree Arts Center. The arts center is hosting a summer camp for adults and children to come and explore art, music and dance this summer. The registration is under way.

Interested campers can enroll in pottery classes or art classes to be held once a week for six weeks. Young potters, to be trained under expert Jim Beckering, can also sign up for the Reduce, Reuse, Make Art With It! class with instructor Emily Stuchell. But that isn’t all. There some adventurous art lessons in store for pre-K and kindergarten students too.

Through art camp, students can try a variety of art media like painting, print making, sculpture and more.

Learn all about the life, work and style of great artistes like Van Gogh, Leonardo da Vinci and Frida Kahlo in the Art Alive! class.

For the students plugged into the technical arts, teaching artist Anne Morningstar will offer Filmmaking for Beginners, June 23-27 and Advanced Animation Studio July 14-18. Students will have the opportunity to express their creativity through technology.

Travel to foreign lands with the Art Passport program. Instructor Katie Brines will explore art from other countries during the week of July 28-Aug 1.

There are class opportunities for storytellers as well the Visual Storytelling classes with Katie Brines (June 30-July 2) and with the Storybook Creation class with Lanie McCarry (Aug. 18-22).

Other offerings will include classes on Surrealism, sculptor, music and orchestra, dance forms like hip hop, hula hoop dance, and ballet for beginners and lot more.
