Mercer County Community College (MCCC) Summer Camps means a chance to indulge in state-of-art infrastructure at the West Windsor Campus, located on the 1200 Old Trenton Road. The campers are allowed to use the college’s full-service cafeteria, Olympic size pool, athletic fields, theater, tennis courts, air-conditioned classrooms and gymnasium.
Various activities include Camp College, Sports Camps and Tomato Patch Visual and Performing Arts workshop. While stipulated schedules for each camp varies and shuttles between eight weeks to four weeks to one-week, one-day and even half-day sessions. Everything depends on requirements, budget and preferred timings that a camper could spare.
Camp college include 70 odd events to chose from. In addition to the existing ones, the newly added are ‘A Stitch in Time,’ ‘Broadway Love,’ ‘Digital Fiction,’ ‘Google-Eyed for Google Earth,’ ‘How America Works,’ ‘Origami,’ ‘Personal Power Publishing,’ and ‘Summer Math Challenge.’ This camp is ideal for ages 3 to 13 years kids.
Sports Camps include over nine games taught like Baseball, Basketball, Field Hockey, Golf, Mountain Biking, Soccer, Softball, Speed Agility and Quickness camp and finally Tennis. All these camps are five day camps and they are for boys, girls and coeds too. The camps are handled by versatile coaches of the college.
Tomato Patch Visual and Performing Arts workshop are ideal for art lovers and students from grade five to grade 12 are eligible for this four week camp. This camp culminates with a ‘Festival of Arts’ at the end of the session where the family and friends would be invited to view the live performance by students, as well as an art exhibit of student work. All the campers would receive a T shirt and a DVD of the live show along with a pizza party.
