About Outpost Summer Camps 2013
Outpost Summer Camps (OSC) offers ACA accredited Summer Day Camp programs and school-year seasonal programs located in the north inland “I-15 corridor” of San Diego, California. (Map)
Their traditional Summer Camp programs are for children aged 3 – 14, split into three camps: Pre Camp (ages 3-5), Day Camp (grades 1-5), and Senior Outpost (grades 6-9). Their Day Camp and Senior Outpost programs are based at Canyonside Community Park in Rancho Penasquitos, adjacent to Los Penasquitos Canyon Preserve, a 3700 acre wilderness preserve jointly operated by the City and County of San Diego while their Pre Camp program is located at North City Presbyterian Church in Poway.
Their summer programs are offered between mid-June and August each summer, and they employ high school and college students as camp counselors. They also offer door-to-door transportation for the majority of our camp families.
During the school year, Outpost offers a unique social skills program called FRIENDS, located at Park Village Elementary School in Rancho Penasquitos. They also offer a seasonal Winter Camp program during the December school break.

OSC was founded in 2001, celebrates its 12th summer in 2013, and is privately owned and operated by Outpost Recreation and Education, Inc. Stuart Jones is the Executive Director, and welcomes new parents to their programs.
In 2013, Outpost Recreation and Education, Inc. is co-launching a new resident camp: Fox Mountain Adventures which is a sleepover camp program located in the Palomar Mountains one hour away from San Diego, for students aged 10-17. They invite you to check it out!
