fulfill the dreams of the children

Summer camps for kids and teens which are a rich part of an American tradition were once started to fulfill the dreams of the children and drive away the fears of the parents. Be it in the 1880, when the Summer Camps came into existence, or in the recent times perceptions have never changed, only the inputs have changed.

As the Industrial revolution took center stage in the late eighteenth century, fathers were away from home for longer time, leaving the child attached to the mothers. This developed a timid attitude and parents wanted their children to get bolder to face the world. On the other hand, children aspired to explore the exterior world under guided care.

Considering the present scenario things are different parents want their wards to understand the values of reality than get stuck to virtual space, social networking and what not, the modern world offers. Now the children get enrolled to get their fancies satisfied like bungee jumping, trekking or rowing.

On the whole, everyone has an individualized need towards a camp. Summer Camps have been an integral part of the growing American society and have had an immense impact on the social well being too.
