TUTS’ Humphreys School of Musical Theatre and the River Performing and Visual Arts Center are back with yet another fun-filled summertime musical theater camps for all ages and skill levels.
To last for a week, the summer camp will give the children a chance to explore various aspects of musical theater and conclude with an end-of-week showcase. Not just that. The camp curriculum has been designed in a way to boost inner confidence, improve physical coordination and cooperative ensemble attitudes and expand social skills through rehearsals and performances.
HSMT weekly camps kicks off on June 9. It will be held in Suite 100 at the Hobby Center for the Performing Arts, 800 Bagby.
The River Performing & Visual Arts Center, TUTS’ fine arts education program for individuals with disabilities, will provide a week-long summer camp, starting June 16 onwards at the Metropolitan Multi-Service Center, 1475 West Gray.
Here students can participate in musical theatre through music, dance, acting and visual arts. The camp will wind up with solo performance at the end of the week.
