For kids and teens who are ever adventurous, Camp Horizons on the beautiful Shenandoah Valley, Virginia is awesome. The destination is just a couple of hours from southwest of Washington DC and ideally located on serene picturesque scenic campus, spread across 300 acres.

Horizons Summer Camps are for kids and teens from ages 6-17 years. Activities of this co-ed camp include Extreme sports, water sports, outdoor adventure, equestrian, soccer, music, performing arts and tennis.

The organizers have taken care of all safe and supportive environment to encourage campers to become self defiant in relinquishing different challenges that the ruggedness of the activity offers. This in turn develops talents to learn new things and grow in confidence and self-esteem, which proves the theory, “surviving to be the fittest.’

Horizons also offer another Summer Camp, named Adventurous Camp for teens between 14-17 years. The challenging activities in these sessions include high ropes mountaineering, caving, SCUBA diving and white water rafting.

Horizons has been operating the camps since 1983 and is accredited by the American Camp Association.
