With summer around the corner, it’s time for your kids to break from the school toil and divest their energies into learning something new, fun and exciting. If you aren’t quite in favor of packing them off to a traditional dance-art-music-learning camp this summer, Camp Navigator team has the right camp figured out for your children.

Make this summer break most exciting for your young ones by enrolling them into something as fun and thrilling as a horseback riding camp. Whether your little one is interested in dressage, cross-country, jumping or trail riding, Virginia Sport Horses (VSH) summer camp has it all. Yes, the largest supplier of Canadian-bred sport horses are hosting their first ever all day Horseback riding summer camp.

The week-long summer camps, to be held in three different dates, from 9am to 3 pm (Monday-Friday), will not only make your children accomplished riders, but also train them on the anatomy of a horse, how to care for horse and tack, how to braid and show prep, and various other horse-themed crafts.

The be hosted in Virginia Sport Horse facility, which boasts of an arena area, extensive trail riding grounds, a cross country area, and a swimming pool, all the camp activities will be monitored by trained and experienced camp counselors.

Campers would need to carry their own riding pants (jeans or leggings will due, but no shorts, unless they want to change into shorts after riding), riding boots (any closed-toe smooth-soled shoes with a 1/2 inch heel will do), riding or bike helmet (if you don’t have one, one can be provided for you), bathing suit and beach towel, sunscreen, and snack including juice or water for each day attended.

Interested parents will have to shell out $375 per week. Parents can avail pickup and drop off in the west end for an additional fee with sufficient interest. The camp is open for kids aged between 6-15 years.

Parent willing to sign up their kids to the camp can write to Taylor Flynn at vshsummercam@gmail.com for more information.
