Time to make a splash girls! Exciting, fun and adrenaline-pumping aquatic adventures await campers at Girl Scouts San Diego’s Aquatic Adventures day camp to be held from June 23-27 in Coronado.

Accredited by the American Camp Association (ACA), this camp guarantees pure summer fun in a safe environment. From kayaking to stand-up paddling to canoeing down the picturesque Crown Point and more, this is one aquatic camp that would thrill you to the bones. But that isn’t all. Girl campers can enjoy sailing, go swimming, and take part in a gamut of outdoor games and traditional camp activities lined up. And now the best part, the one-week of water fun will wrap up with a grand, grand beach party. Now what more can one ask for?

All the fun is meant for girls from elementary through high school ages! Registration is underway for the 159 sessions that Girl Scouts San Diego is hosting this year. And it isn’t just about aquatic alone. Camp Navigator team has learned that campers can pick anything from archery to zoology here. No matter what camp you choose, each of the camp will offer a mix of traditional camp activities besides special focus on your area of interest.

STEM sessions will include marine biology, animal care, technology and science. Outdoorsy girls can take up horseback riding, hiking, backpacking, canoeing, swimming and wilderness survival. Future financial experts, chefs, childcare specialists and journalists can polish up their skills in those and other fields. Budding artists can go for lessons on drama, painting, wearable art, photography, filmmaking and dance and lot more.

The overnight or “resident” camp sessions will be held at Winacka and Whispering Oaks in Julian. The day camps will be hosted at Girl Scouts’ Balboa Park, Escondido properties, and at community partner sites countywide.

Every willing girl camper is welcome at the Girl Scout summer camp, never mind if you are a fresher or a Girl Scout. Just that newcomers will have to shell out $15 extra on the camp fee to enjoy Girl Scout membership for the rest of the year. There are tiered rates and financial assistance available to make the camp affordable to families of all income levels.
