YWCA to host theme-based creative adventures camp

With summer break almost around the corner, you are probably feeling rushed into picking the right camp for your child. Never mind if you haven’t made your pick yet. For parents and children looking forward to a great summertime, packed with fun and creativity, YWCA is hosting a creative theme-based Summer Camp that promises to be fun, creative and educational.

That’s right! In YWCA’s Creative Adventures Camp, campers will enjoy a theme-based curriculum structured around literaturw, science and math through engaging activities. This is a camp that will prepare your child for a better school year without overwhelming them with long, boring, educational classes, but through creative exercises.

Interested children must enroll for at least two session. The last date of enrollment is July 4, 2014. Here is a list of programs being offered at the camp:

Astronauts (must be 3 by December 31, 2014) The youngest members of  this camp program will benefit from highly individualized attention and low camper-to-staff ratio.

Rockets (must be 4 by December 31, 2014) The Rockets will enjoy the chance to go swimming twice a week with Red Cross Certified instructors. Their activities are designed to increase children’s independence, further developing their confidence and abilities.

Voyagers (must be 5 by December 31, 2014) Voyagers will explore new activities. The daily and weekly activities are designed to inspire the children to create, move and interact.

Galaxy (must be 6 by December 31, 2014) Themes for the Galaxy group are designed to spark the imagination of school-age children. Theme related activities will motivate children to explore language arts, science, math, creative arts and music in many different ways.
