Interview With
Kerri Quigley
We began our summer camp in 2010 as a sewing program for ages 5 through 18. It’s been three years and our program has grown into a full day camp that covers fashion design, illustration, sewing and accessory design for children and a separate “how to start your own clothing line” program for teenagers.
We are located in Manhattan’s Garment Center, the perfect place to study fashion.
The Fashion Class aims to provide a fun and friendly environment for children interested in fashion design where they can see their artistic vision become a reality.
The Fashion Class specializes in all things Fashion Design. Being in the garment center our program has the unique ability to introduce students to the real world of fashion. We regularly visit designer showrooms, meet models, and shop at fabric stores.
Our camp classes cover fashion design, branding, illustration, sewing and accessory design for children. Our teen program, from Concept to Creation, is all about how to actually start a clothing line. Student learn the business of fashion as well as sewing, draping, and designing their first collection.
Our sessions run for two weeks throughout the summer from 9AM-5PM. Each sessions costs $1700.00
Our professional staff actually teaches with The Fashion Class year round. Each instructor is a professional in their field meaning they actually work in the fashion industry too. We always have one teacher and one assistant teacher per group of ten students.
The Fashion Class Camp is the fashion experience of a lifetime for any fashionista or young designer. Our students return year after year, some even stay with us year round.
Camp enrollment is ongoing from Fall through Early Summer.
Our camp classes are small and allow for individualized attention, each class has up to ten children.
