Our camp philosophy is through performance based learning, students take music to a new level in a short amount of time, while having a total blast! We know that after the week here at School of Rock, your child will have fun, and learn A LOT about music

Through workshops, clinics, and private instruction, our comprehensive camp experience is designed to hone music performance and ensemble skills in a creative and fun environment. We know from experience that playing in a band situation speeds learning and creates “seasoned” musicians. Even relatively advanced musicians are amazed at the amount of progress they make when regularly playing with other musicians.

We offer 3 camps for all skill levels. Bootcamp, Songwriting and Rock Shop. Students work in a hands-on atmosphere that includes:
Learning the nuts and bolts of live performance
Studio/band rehearsal time
Instruction and clinics with music professionals
Music theory and songwriting courses
Rock & Roll music appreciation
Interacting with other young musicians
A LIVE rock show performance for your friends and family
Having fun

We offer 6 different ONE WEEK LONG day camps from 9-3 Monday through Friday at our Evanston and Highwood locations.

Each camp is staffed upon demand. There is typically a 5:1 teacher ratio, with additional guest teachers and workshop instructors. All staff are ACTUAL ROCK AND ROLL MUSICIANS that have played at local national and international venues. All lead teachers at camp teach at a School of Rock year round! They embody the SOR and everything we stand for, on top of being extremely aware of what it takes to run the show.

If your child is interested in music, then our camps are the best one could offer. Our performance based approach has be proven time and time again to take a musician to the next level. They are surrounded by other musicians their age and skill level. Our super cool environment in combination with the best teachers and musicians around, we house an educational, experiential camp with real rock and roll.

First off, we are a year round music school that offers special summer camps throughout the warm months. We have a summer season going on from June to August, We love it when kids decide to be a part of our bands all year long! We take the same philosophies throughout the year and apply them to the summer camps.
Also, if you work until 5:00pm and would like an option for your child to stay here longer, we will be offering lesson packages for students to be able to hang out after the camp, while our regular lessons are going on.
