Hiram House was founded in 1896 and has been in continuous operation for over a century. It is “Ohio’s oldest camp” and one of the earliest camps established in the United States. Open year-round, we are a traditional camp, offering quality Summer Camps, School Camps, Group Retreats and Teambuilding Adventures for boys & girls, schools, youth and adult groups.
The camp is located on Hiram Trail in Chagrin Falls in Northeast Ohio, amid 172 wooded acres in the scenic Chagrin Valley and is beautiful in all seasons. The camp is easily accessible to all major routes, hospitals or other needed services.
Hiram House’s mission is to open new horizons, build character and promote family values for youth of all backgrounds through a life-enriching camp experience in our natural outdoor setting.
Group Dynamics, Leadership, Communication & Life Skills (Confidence, Resourcefulness, Cooperation, & more). We strive to provide fun, hands-on learning opportunities for youth.
We offer exciting, interactive activities, like archery, canoeing, climbing wall, fishing, hiking, horseback riding, high/low ropes course, swimming . We feature a western style riding ranch & farmstead, log cabins, teepees, frontier fort, ponds, streams, meadows, woods & wildlife.
Summer Camps are offered for one or two week sessions during the months of June, July & early to mid-August. Weekly rates range from $275 to 315 for Jr. Day & Day Camp, $625 for Overnight Camp and $310 for Horseback Riding Camp.
Our dedicated professional staff consists of over 75 trained counselors, specialists and administrators. Staff is recruited from some 50 colleges & universities throughout the nation, focusing on students with an interest in child development and outdoor education and recreation.
