Our basic objectives are to foster personal growth, leadership, self reliance, self confidence, cooperation, and a sense of involvement and identify within the Jewish community.[/vc_column_text][/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=”What does your camp specialize in?” tab_id=”1489142345986-4985fd75-8f30″][vc_column_text]We are a traditional Camp. There is a nice mix of sports, crafts, theatre, and all types of community events and community services pieces. It’s kind of like the Camp of old, where people get together to unwind and enjoy nature. Where lasting friendships and memories are created.[/vc_column_text][/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=”What activities do you offer?” tab_id=”1489147114089-cc047cc3-c1b2″][vc_column_text]Team sports, we have everything, basketball, volleyball, field hockey, soccer, lacross,gag a, 2 gorgeous pools, recreational swimming, instructional swimming, rowing, kayaking, paddle boating, fishing, archery, gymnastics, tetherball, mini golf, yoga, tennis, arts and crafts, jewelry design, ceramics, sewing, drama, dance, music, and more.[/vc_column_text][/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=”What are the typical session lengths and approximate pricing for your camp?” tab_id=”1488805694385-c9eb90d8-8e19″][vc_column_text]The summer has 2 major sessions. The first session is 4 weeks, the second session is 3 weeks. We start on June 23rd, 2013. The full price is $4700. There are incentive grants and scholarships available, so that number is not written in stone. Session 2 is $3900. We have three mini-Camps. They are 2 Week mini sessions and those run $3100. We also have a 1 Week option, called the Laurelwood experience. We also offer 2 sessions called taste of Laurelwood, and those are $175.[/vc_column_text][/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=”How much staff do you have and how do you select your staff? ” tab_id=”1488805789916-e80715d9-957f”][vc_column_text]We have approximately 120 counselors. We have day camps staff, senior staff, and year round staff as well. A lot of our staff is returning staff, while many staff rise through the ranks. We also recruit through major organizations in other countries like England and Israel. We welcome children from all Jewish backgrounds, as well as non Jewish backgrounds. All our campers are welcomed with open arms regardless of their socioeconomic backgrounds.
