Interview With
Dr. Joe Machnik
Since 1977 when we started as the No.1 Goalkeeper Camp.
At 24 locations nationwide in 18 states.
To provide a positive learning experience based on the practice of trial and success for field players and goalkeepers in the action packed 35 yard area in front of the goal.
Building confidence through experimentation and challenge, providing good examples and “pictures” for the campers to follow and positive reinforcement is always a key.
It is all soccer with 3 full field sessions per day, class room instruction and obviously all the amenities required to safely house and feed our campers and staff.
Since we have 3, 4, 5 and even 9 night camps, all of our pricing is different. Of course, it is more expensive to run a camp in California then, say, Alabama, and where possible we try to extend any savings onto the parents of campers. It is best to consult our web site to get the price of the camp nearest a potential camper.
Many of our staff have been loyal to us over the years and travel from camp to camp. They are current college/high school and club coaches who do the instruction while current college players provide the demonstrations. Everyone wants to work for No.1.
Over 37 years we have earned a reputation that we can be trusted to provide a good soccer camp experience, and we have many campers return for multiple years. We now have children and grand children of former campers attending.
No camp can stay in business for 37 consecutive years without providing quality field instruction and off field supervision. At No.1, we pride ourselves on our 75,000 satisfied campers over the years, the players we have helped improve, make their respective teams, and gain college scholarships and for some, even sign pro and play for the National Team
Registration is on going until a campsite is full. Parents can always reach me on my cell phone 843 270 2600 or thru e-mail from our web site if they have questions about the program, levels of instruction, facilities etc.
