At the core, it’s all about teamwork, mutual support and accountability.
Through putting our minds together, making contributions as well as concessions, we can create something that’s beautiful and greater than the sum of it’s parts.

The focus is the songwriting process and the recording process.

Group instrument instruction, learning songs, playing in a band setting, studio recording, audio engineering, songwriting music and lyrics.

We are offering 4 two-week session. They run from 9:30am to 3:30pm Monday-Friday throughout July and August.

For each session there is a director and a voice and piano teacher, a guitar and bass teacher, and a drum instructor. All the instructors that work at School of Rock are real working musicians. It’s a lot of referrals through my decade in the NYC music scene, but we also get applicants through the national parent company via the web. The staff that work the camps are those tried and true individuals that have taught here for years and have proven themselves to be effective and dedicated.

On the surface, the Summer Bootcamp is an intensive,fun, focused program with the goal of producing a polished radio ready piece of music. But at it’s core it’s about problem solving, negotiating with diverse individuals, teamwork and creativity. Also, it’s well known that music engages mathematical mind, training you to think logically and analytically as well as creatively.

Camp is enrolling now through mid August.
